Southwestern Native American Indian turquoise Sterling silver buckle, stamped STERLING and unmarked, but most likely by a Navajo artist. This elaborate buckle showcases a single light blue, natural turquoise in the center, adorned by beautiful raised silver leaves, and silver nuggets, and framed by silver rope with a nicely hand-stamped scallop-shaped border. The polished cabochon is set in a low, serrated bezel on a highly oxidized buckle face that contrasts nicely with all the shiny silver applique decorations. 78 grams, and measures 3 5/16 across. By 2 3/8 tall, at its tallest point. The well-constructed swivel keeper measures 1 11/16 on the inside.
The turquoise is approximately 1 38" tall by 7/8" wide, from bezel to bezel. This buckle is in excellent condition. Thank you for supporting authentic Native American art.
